When it leaked online, J Dilla heard it and personally called 9th Wonder to tell him the beats were incredible. This moment legitimized software-based production in hip-hop at a time when hardware producers openly mocked anyone using a laptop. 9th Wonder went on to produce for Jay-Z, Destiny's Child, and Mary J. Blige
